It’s crunch time for the Kansas BOE elections. I find it curious that Intelligent Design claims to have no religious ties, but only one of these meetings will be held at a school. The four others are at christian churches.
I’ll do my best to get my extremely poor self to as many of these meetings as possible in search of a valid scientific argument and to try to keep things honest.
John Calvert to present at Alford Library in Wichita on Sunday
July 11, 2006 at 4:41 pm | In Journal of Anti-Science meetings | 2 CommentsKansas City attorney John Calvert will give a 2 hour presentation on the Intelligent Design theory of creation at the Alford Library on South Meridian on Sunday, July 16th, 2006 at 2PM.
Calvert is one of the figureheads of the Intelligent Design movement in Kansas, and was instrumental in the Kansas Board of Education’s consideration of Intelligent Design. He is, no doubt, giving this presentation to rally support for the anti-science school board members he endorses before the Kansas BOE primary elections next month August.
If I can make it out to the AiG meeting in Studley, KS, (which is in District #5, Connie Morris’s district who voted for the new standards), I may not make it to this one in Wichita. However, I may do both, and if I can’t make it out to Studley, I will certainly be at this meeting.
Please direct as many creationism/intelligent design supporters to this meeting as you can. Thank you for your support and your attention. It’s crunch time.
